    Exhibitors

Here are some practical tips on how to make your participation more sustainable:

    Stand design & waste:

Choose a reusable booth package from the organizer or design your own booth so that the structure will be reused several times, year after year. Work with your booth builder to make your booth as durable as possible! Avoid creating a one-off outfit just for one event. Create reusable signs made from recyclable materials and with eco-friendly inks whenever possible. Use LED lighting and other energy efficient equipment for your booth and don’t forget to turn it off at the end of the day. Try not to use carpet, and if you really need it, preferably choose reusable carpet tiles. If you use regular carpet, make sure it is recyclable and will be recycled.

    Travel and accommodation:

Whenever possible, choose public transport or carpool with your colleagues. Choose a hotel within walking distance and/or apply environmentally friendly practices.

    Logistics & transport:

FFCR together with On-Site Exhibitions offers joint transport of your exhibition goods from all over Sweden. Benefit local suppliers to support the local economy and reduce transport. Favor suppliers who demonstrate environmental and social merits.

    Food & Food Waste:

Bring your own reusable water bottle and use our water stations to help us reduce the use of single-use plastic. If you serve food in your stand, avoid using single-use plastic. Avoid food waste. MatRätt will be on site to take care of those who wish to donate dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products after the fair.

    Social responsibility:

Take an active role in the various initiatives and discussions during the event that will support sustainable development in your sector. Inspire visitors by showcasing the sustainable features of your products.

Our goals according to Agenda 2030

    Sustainable consumption and production

    • We reuse stand materials
    • We have reusable walking mats that are used about 50 times a year and last about 20 years
    • We have waste sorting that is adapted to restaurant fairs
    • We collaborate with Returpack and collect pledges that are donated to sports associations for children and young people
    • We measure our environmental impact internally after the fair via the ESG scorecard by Easyfairs
    • We collaborate with a charity organization that takes care of the exhibitors' leftover food after the fair and reduces food waste
    • The restaurant works with portion control and does not serve more food than necessary

    Equality

    • We start from this year's theme on our stage and ensure that there is an even distribution of men and women in the stage program
    • We make sure to be equal in our visual communication both in print and digitally
    • We urge our subcontractor of extra staff to book both women and men
    • We work continuously to broaden the age range at the fair with content and collaborations with e.g. influencers and industry networks
    • Easyfairs works globally to reduce the pay gap between men and women

    No more hunger

    • We collaborate with a charity organization that takes care of the exhibitors' leftover food after the fair, which goes to social food stores and resource kitchens

    • We highlight product news and innovations to promote new sustainable products and services

Clean water and sanitation for all

    • The exhibition hall is environmentally certified as a facility
    • We avoid plastic bottles and choose more environmentally friendly alternatives such as reusable bottles or water in jugs for our speakers
    • All exhibitors are requested, in accordance with the Environmental Administration's requirements, to have running water in their stands if they serve food
    • Instead of a flower for the speakers, the fair donates money to a charity

    Sustainable industry, innovations and infrastructure

    • We have a strong focus on product news and we actively market it before and during the fair. We offer an arena where the product developer can get direct feedback from the end user resulting in new products, improved products and services

    • Below: On site, the FFCR Innovation Awards are organized to encourage and recognize innovations in the industry
