In 1957, Wallace and Harrison McCain, along with their brothers Robert and Andrew McCain, founded McCain Foods in their hometown of Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada. Under Wallace and Harrison’s leadership, McCain Foods quickly established itself in the Canadian market and then embarked on a journey to become the world’s largest manufacturer of frozen French fries and specialty potatoes. The business has grown significantly over the years, from 30 employees and global sales of 150,000 CDN, and now employing over 20,000 people with global sales in excess of 9 billion CDN. We operate in 53 locations on six continents, working with farmers around the world and using over 6.5 million tonnes of potatoes each year. McCain products can be found in thousands of restaurants and stores in over 160 countries – with one in four of the world’s French fries coming from McCain. In addition to French fries, McCain also produces other foods, including snacks, meals and vegetables for both grocery and foodservice.
