The coffee in Eguale Women’s Rights Coffee is grown by the women of Unicafec. A coffee with a special premium that is used locally for programs to promote gender equality and sustainable development. The women have their own committee where, among other things, decisions are made about how the Fairtrade-income from the women’s coffee is to be used.
The coffee variety has a fresh acidity with hints of rosehip and a pleasant note of nut in the aftertaste. It is medium roasted using the slow roast method, which is the best way to bring out all the nuances of the coffee bean. Also available as brewed coffee.
Just like all our coffee varieties, Women’s Rights Coffee is also 100% fair trade and 100% organic!

Unicafec is a small close-knit cooperative with about 400 members in the San Ignacio province of Peru, which grows high-quality organic and Fairtrade-certified coffee. A little over a quarter of the members of the cooperative are women and it is these women who are the growers behind Eguale Women’s Rights Coffee.
